Fine piece of machine, but Toyota decided to go really big a little too late. With gas prices the way they are, automobiles will be going in the other direction. For some, this is not a problem. For most, this is no longer a wise economical choice.

13 MPG in the city. $50,000 for what? To outdo your neighbor's SUV? This vehicle was stupid when gas was between $2.00 to $3.00 a gallon. The people at Toyota have made an enormous mistake with this dinosaur.
Tell me that in 2008, Toyota isn't in bed with big oil when they put out an SUV that gets 13 MPG.

Well, the Tundra was stupidly designed with TripleTech frame. To be honest, Japanese 4x4 vehicles Nissan Patrol, Toyota Land Cruiser, & Mitsubishi Pajero; & British Land Rovers have been using fully boxed frames long before Ford. In fact, Nissan Titan started the fully boxed frame of all fullsize pickups, & Ford was only inspired.
Why did the Patrol, Land Cruiser, Pajero, & Land Rovers become legends? Fully boxed offroad frame, proper transfer case rations, diff. locks, etc.
