Tetsuo is just so ... ( 3 months ago by SlikkTim)
Tetsuo is just so more musical and funky... plus he has an awesome tone. It always seems to me that Yoshi is all about gimmicky flash and horrid guitar-like tone.
i agree with this ... ( 3 months ago by bejokus)
i agree with this one.
yoshihiro likes to play with many bass effects
that makes his bass sounds rather "sloppy",
while tetsuo prefers a "cleaner" sound.
Sakurai is not ... ( 3 months ago by jazwelter)
Sakurai is not locked into the groove as much as the 2nd cat. The 2nd cat also uses more space. This time, I say the 2nd cat did better ?
Tetsuo used a lot ... ( 2 months ago by Asgard222)
Tetsuo used a lot of melody and funk. Yoshihiro used a lot of effects and technical stuff like tapping.
IMO, I think they're both great.
the second guy ... ( 2 months ago by speedenia)
the second guy needs to reconsider his look and by that i mean he should REALLY think of changing his look...great player though

Yoshihiro Naruse is a Thief! Look at the Video "the legendary bassist"!
Yoshihiro has stolen everything from Hattler, even his fucking Mustache! Watch the "the legendary bassist" to see Helmut the Hero Hattler!

dlpfinrod is abit odd with his comment. When i typed in 'the legednary bassist', a video of Yoshihiro came up, then when i typed in Hattler, i saw a dude playing bass with a pick...not that he wasnt good, cos he knew his way around a bass fretboard. But comparing a man who picks to a man who practices slap & pop is abit strange...Dunno how many other people have noticed this. Rock on Casiopea
Be it picking, ... ( 1 month ago by zumBunny)
Be it picking, slapping, or plucking, technique is about getting a certain feel or vibe from the instrument. By your logic, James Jamerson -- a bassist who only plucked with his index finger and Jaco are not in the same class as these guys. Not so! Hattler is a master at his technique, and gets the exact vibe he wants from his instrument. These guys do as well. It's all good. Like you said, the comparison is a bit strange, but only because it's hard to compare different objectives.
Yeah im not ... ( 1 month ago by T3TxDeath)
Yeah im not knocking any of the bassists aforementioned. Im just saying its hard, like you say, to find comparisons between Naruse and Hattler. What im saying is i dont understand how dlpfinrod basically calls Naruse a plagiarist, when from what i hear, Hattler masters his own technique and 'vibe' as you say, and Naruse is a master doing what he does, which, in comparison to each other, are vastly different. However im primarily a guitarist, so i maybe be talking nonsense. lol
Regardless, Naruse ... ( 1 month ago by chrisbahen)
Regardless, Naruse Stole nothing from Hattler... Completely different technique, sound, goal and look. No idea what "dlpfinrod" is talking about. Not to mention Yoshihiro's nearly a decade older than Hattler. If you're going to make pointless comments and spawn arguments that waste space for people who want to appreciate the music, use the personal message system -.- Thank you.
