Even as the September 5 Fox News debate was being largely overshadowed by Fred Thompson's announcement,there were still plenty of fireworks...
Texas Congressman Ron Paul ruffled some feathers when he said he wants the USA out of Iraq.
He warned the other candidates they would drag the GOP to defeat if they continued to support the President's plan.
Attacked by Mike Huckabee and the fair and balanced Chris Wallace, Ron Paul stood his ground.
He clearly had support of the majority in attendance as well.
According to a Fox News poll, Ron Paul overwhelmingly won the debate.
The results were, according to FOX News...
Ron Paul - 33%
Mike Huckabee - 18%
Rudy Giuliani - 15%
John McCain - 14%
Mitt Romney - 12%
Tom Tancredo - 2%
Duncan Hunter - 2%
Sam Brownback - 1%
According to FOX and Friends,

The commentators in this video are very disrespectful to Ron Paul. He didn't win the debate because he has strong supporters, he won the debate because he outdebated all of the other candidates, he is more knowledgeable about the issues, and people recognized that.

Fox News needs to sued for libel. They are now "reporting" that Ron Paul is a 9/11 conspiracy theorist. That Ron Paul said that 9/11 was an inside job. Not even Glenn Beck had the right to ask him stupid questions related to this. We now have a misinformation campaign by Fox. We need lawyers to look into this!!!

Okay...maybe its because I'm canadian and have NOTHING politically to gain or lose on who wins, but is Ron Paul any better than anyone of the rest of the Republican party can throw at us? Compared to the rest of the group, he believes in cutting spending to everything, sending it to the people. Well this is not a new platform when someone promises the earth and all the hevens. Bush did it. Regan did it. Nixon did it. Ron is smart, I can tell but hacking off the budget of things is not going to change anything. Homeland security? Fine, then find a way for the CIA to talk to the FBI because they are so anal about things its WHY 9/11 happened in the first place.

I don't particulary care who wins these debates because I'm not in the country or voting for anyone. Now before you all jump down my throat and say I sucked Bush's cock let me ask you this. If there are companies in the US that pay people to post on blogs and guage public opionon, how much would it take to make all these super pro Paul videos on YouTube? I'm just thinking out loud here but come on, do we REALLY want a republican in the white house after eight YEARS of them screwing it up?

Ron Paul is a hero of the constitution and cares about the welfare of the people instead of trying to profit from their deaths. He is the only republican that voted AGAINST the war in Iraq and seems to be the only presidential candidate that wants to stop the war and rethink our fucked up foreign policy.
