| this cover isnt very good. its so obvious and pointless. she doesnt bring the song anywhere further than Cohen, which in my opinion is what covers should be about if you're goin to release them. you shouldnt do covers just cause you like the song, but hey its the easy way to fill up an album or a concert. |

| What an ass. You actually SHOULD do covers because you like the song. Why would you do them if you didnt like it? This song by the way, never appeared in a Tori Amos album, but on a record of Cohen's covered songs. He chose them himself so what can you possible say about being a good or bad cover. |

| inconstanti, we don't call people ass other then to their faces. Crass. The cover is in fact quite strong and included on a CD of Cohen's covers alongside with some big shots. It's hard to take anything much father than Cohen's taken it. So what!? |

| I follow your point. Quite easy to take one of the best song of cohen and say "wow! what a feeling!" Unfortunately, the voice is so tortured, as always by her anyway, and make it sound quite unbearable; reminds me an advertisement for cats food (sheba maybe) The best covers of cohen are to be found on "i'm your fan". Not all of them but still. |
