Yes blacks are not perfect and have made many mistakes but we cannot negate the effect that slavery has had on black america When for hundreds of years you are told you are not good enough that you are beneath & you are sub-human that will have an effect on you for years to come. That belittlement is still having an effect on Black America today. But America will one day come to respect the black man. The popularity of Oprah and those rappers is eating away at white racism.

I had an argument about this issue with my roommate who isn't racist but he just doesn't get it. He says slavery happened years ago why are blacks still harping on it, we didn't go through it... What you said explains it all. That's why I'm okay and can move on with the Rev. Wright comments because I understand what he went through in his life, understand, accept and move on, though I don't agree with his statements. I can forgive him and learn from them.

how is Obama racist? Again, do you know what it was like for African Americans during Wright's early years? Once you understand that you can understand why he would have so much anger and paranoia inside him and can understand why he said what he said and move on. I don't agree with his comments but I can understand and move on. Obama had a relationship with him, Wright married Obama and his wife and has been family for 20yrs. We all know someone who says the most outlandish things.

U knw wat why do whites call blacks monkeys? me personally I knw why the word monkey compared to a black man is used to dehumanize us as human and to also portray us as inferior beings who lack any type of intelligence or disdain to fend for ourselves thats why monkeys are used to describe us or blacks so often but I say monkeys are actually some of the most smartest animals in the world if given enough patience and time u can teach a monkey alot of things....
