When I see stuff like this , I have to say there is something greatly missing in the pop and rock field these days, THE Lack of creative bands and minds is staggering and the instrumental ability sad , except for jazz , r&b, and gospel and the like, ive turned to watching these older videos, for sheer musical pleasure ...

"They can't take away or Music" reached #50 on the US Pop Singles in 1971. It was the second single release of "The Black Man's Burdon". Another single was "Paint it Black" (#31 in Netherlands). Eric Burdon, I love him, the greatest singer of all times. 21st April: ERIC BURDON & WAR in the Royal Albert Hall. - One time reunion!

True, Dynodrum, the "new" music that is being produced today is cloned crap. One song sounds just like the other. How about playing a real drum, or guitar, or piano instead of all this bleedin' mass produced techno sh!t?

This song was like an anthem. It is a personal musical testimony. You can feel the song's power build and build. Each solo is a cresendo. By the end you're singing and shouting with an unbroken spirit. "No they can't take away our music".

Music died and ... ( 3 months ago by rjam1974)
Music died and creativity with it when the system took music class out. You would literally have to start from elementary school level because we've pretty much have a generation that is build on the ignorance of live music and true creativity. The late 60's through the mid 70's saw some of the most diverse acts whether be musical style, lyrics, voices etc. Also you notice that each act always wanted to be different than the other

Well, why pay the extra money to hire 100 studio musicians, when you can just play a guitar or a trumpet or a tuba through a MIDI keyboard?
