You seem to misunderstand what George Russell, Ornette Coleman and Robert Palmer are agreeing on -- that 3rd world countries have been more practiced in intuition as an art form and as a science than western countries. Our historical reliance on the written word, has tended to make our contributions to culture more about analytical accuracy than emotional content. I don't believe they're playing that old game of jazz versus classical music - they're all well versed in the classical idiom.
