I realized how much people are alike when my my mother made a list of things she wanted to do b4 she passed, we had fun, sad, but listening to her say she wanted to jump off a cliff into the water, stand on the lake damn(fear of heights), live outdoors, well I just realized we long for these things. I listen to this and hope she gets to do just one of these things and maybe when she dreams she dreams of these things(she is crippled now), a special song and moment for us..Be Happy! Love this ty

Everyone has that primal urge to just up and explore. I absolutely admire his spirit to abandon everything and test himself. You can't know what your limits are until you push them, test them, break them. And there's very few adversaries like mother nature. People do it every day.

you know..its weird how this story is actually true. I have seen this movie 2 times. It so good. It always makes me cry. Its so sad, hes was a very good man, respected, he gave up everything to live "in the wild." I admire him. It so cool how this actually happened.
