first u have to find out if u have pci-e slots that are 16x or a agp slot, then u have to be mroe specific on your cpu, and how much ram do u have?

i bought mine with the card already built in for my dell 350 inspiron desktop, it has dual core 2.4ghz and 2 gig ram and vista, my friend has a dell also but he got that crappy crap ass intel integrated chip set, but that is what i have in my laptop. which i dont play games on, but he couldnt upgrade them and you were right

it could mean that u have to upgrade the drivers, from the website which you should do to keep up the card. but it could also mean that there is a differnt video card of the same series but with some modifications, they do that when they cant make the card upgrade from download so they make a new version.

lolz HD4850 and 4870 is both better then 9800GTX and GTX260.... a equivalent to a 9600GT is a HD3870.. 512mb of gddr4 256 bit... 320 stream processor etc!

AMD/ATI are beast! i got a really old system AMD 4000+ and ATI X1300XT and it has run crysis COD4, CNC3 on high, it has no fear on Fear either and it is probably getting upgraded to this old(ish) card or maybe 4870 ;) go for newer cards for max speed guys, AMD = Awesome gaming power so be smart and use AMD for gaming rigs, Intel for buisnesses that need any old crap ;)

Dude Intel out peforming AMD in everything at the moment I hate too say it because I used AMD since athlon socket A :D used to the black edition 6400+ then I moved to intel e6550 2.33Ghz OC 3.50Ghz
