Its funny what you remember when your young I was like 5 when this came out but I do remember the video and the song because i could remember thinking how the music made me feel and it was the first time i saw someone on (TV besides MJ) who looked like me. I think Bobby did that for alotta young black boys and girls of my generation. Showed us that we could be successful and talented as a people.

The man had talent before all his crazy antics and drug problems. I wish he would get his shit together and try and make another hit record. He stopped singing all together when he married Whitney, drug her down and made her look like crap. Whitney in her day was so elegant until she met/married Bobby and got all ghetto. Sad but true. Whitney was already hood before she met Bobby. The "good girl"/"diva" image was always just that - an image. She dated Daryl Strawberry and Eddie Murphy before Brown...that should be a sign if you know what they were into back in the 80's when she dated them. She's always been a street girl from Newark and that's why she was into Bobby, because he didn't treat her like a good lil' Christian girl. He was into the same stuff she was into and didn't mollycoddle her, like fellow street kids.
