A Tour Of Detroit's Ghetto

Video Description:
This is my first video featuring Detroit's ghetto, and was filmed in 2002 & 2003. I am originally from Detroit (suburbs) by the way, I lived there my whole life until I moved to Florida in 2004... so don't be the jackass that says I made a video of Detroit and don't know anything about the city.
Like ANY city, Detroit has it's good and bad areas... these are the bad areas. THAT IS THE POINT OF THIS VIDEO, to show the worst ares of Detroit. Every city has rundown neighborhoods, but no city I have ever seen or heard of in the US is as bad as Detroit, at least when it comes to the PHYSICAL DETERIORATION of the buildings and infrastructure that make up the CITY of Detroit.
I HAVE NO INTENTIONS TO FILM NICE AREAS OF DETROIT, so please, keep those comments to yourself. If YOU think that would actually make an interesting video, then do it yourself.
As for the music, it is meant to "set the mood" for the ghetto, and there is a little irony for those of you who have noticed. I personally HATE rap with a passion, but hey, it fits the video.

This is the result of people with money abandoning thier property. You are a bitch and I doubt you'd say that to anybody in person. I used to live in a very nice part of Detroit and I still own 4 houses in the city. When the money comes back to Detroit, I'll be there to make money then maybe i'll move to your neighborhood.

No acctualy you can take this same camera and drive down Hazel Park,Ferndal, Madison Heights, and Warren and see the same type's of run down abandoned property. They're majority white and they have similar problems as the city. Lack of work for anybody white or black is the culprit. There are many very nice parts of Detroit. He was just Highlighting the bad ones.

there are SOME nice you are out of your mind if you think you can compare madison heights, ferndale, warren, etc to detroit, you are out of your mind! there might be a few crappy houses, but when a house in those cities catches on fire, it is either torn down or rebuilt. not in detroit, it's left to rot for all to see.

I drive through those areas daily, there are more and more vacants in those everyday, area minus Ferndale they are pretty good at keeping appearances. As for the fire and water damaged properties I'd have to admit you are correct. No other city in the country will let such filth just sit. My comment was to point out these areas are starting to resemble Detroit and that they are majority white.

last year i played AAA hockey in hasel park and i was suprised by how bad it was but some of the outer detroit citys are cleaning up like southfield......you need to make a video of the true hood because there will be niggaz chilling everywere trying to sell you weed and there will be some janky ass cars everywere with some big ass 24" on them bitches

Negroes do this everywhere they go, when they are not controlled. They commit murder at a rate 9x the White rate and other crimes at a rate higher than Whites. It is worth noting that Black crime in Black cities is often underreported.

That's exactly right. Look up the Guardian Bldg., Fox Theater, Indian Village or Boston-Edison.
There might be one burned out building on a block, but they'll shoot it and cut to the next hood. Look at the edits.
On the flip, Detroit is real lax on getting on property owners to keep up their stuff. Some peeps 10+ yrs late taxes. Confiscate their property & either renovate or tear down.
It's because they have a bad city gov't and crooks in it, that things are where they are.

Detroit was hurt by being a one industry town(auto). Detroit like most inner cities will need an increase in Black businesses to reduce poverty. Blacks spend $700 Billion a year in America so why are we so poor??
