this was aired on tv almost 50 years back on one of the news station. The news station recieved a flood of calls on. "I didnt know speghetti grows on trees" or "how can I grow my own speghetti tree". Funny how the callers did not not relize that the day was April 1st.

how can you possibly speak for someone else and claim they are being funny? I seriously doubt that somebody who has written 'I ain't never seen an orange tree either' has any idea what irony is, let alone has the capacity to be ironic. I am plenty British enough hence why I understand the joke here... whereas 'Norsedivision' does not even understand the concept of double negatives and believed this video!

The Ticino- and more specifically, Lugano, is on the border of Switzerland and Italy and actually used to be part of the duchy of Milan. Most of the people there speak Italian and the culture, food, architecture is Italian. It's situated between the Italians lakes -Como and Maggiore. I used to live there.:)

The spaghetti weevil is still a threat to small-scale family-run traditional spaghetti farms. They pose a threat to the uniform length of the harvest. Many have switched to heartier, weevil-resistant fettucine trees.
