Motorcycles arn't as agile as you think. I can swerve around a turtle in the road quicker with my truck than my ninja. And if the road is even damp you have to very slowly maneuver around your lane, let alone change lanes. And contrary to belief, motorcycles have a harder time breaking than some cars do.

The car did not break down, only the left signal light was flashing.
If you compare the speed of the bike to the speed of the black car, he is maybe 5 mph over the speed limit. If he was speeding, his body would have flown a LOT farther. He only went about 15 feet (Not a lot for a dead stop)
The driver stopped in the center lane to let a car in the lane over pass so he could move to that lane. (driver is a dumbass!)
The majority of drivers are checking for other cars, not motorcycles.

1. I was wrong, we covered the lights. He's indicating.
2. If you're comparing his speed to cars then he'll take longer to stop so shouldn't go as fast. And he wasn't still going that speed at impact, he's braking so much and so suddenly that he's up on his front wheel.
3/4. It does look that way, the silver car is travelling just as fast in the inside lane and the driver doesn't cut him off...
