It's amazing how great his voice remains ageless. It's also ironic that, during the 1960's and 1970's, Ray Price was criticized (even heckled at concerts) for abandoning traditional country. He was a versatile and excellent singer. Today's country is formulaic dance music. Ray Price brought together a distinct style and remains one of my favorites!

In reference to American popular music, Willie Nelson once said "It's either the blues or the Star Spangled Banner". The melody of this tune is identical to Bob Wills'

I saw Ray with this band in Vegas 2007 and they were even BETTER than this, if you can believe that. I thought I was in the 3rd row but I was actually in HEAVEN. What a voice! As he said "I'm 84 years old (applause) and I'm not the father of Anna Nicole's Baby". Boy, did we laugh. More power to you, Ray. No-one could ever fill your shoes.

He wrote the book when it comes to country shuffles. My sister sees him all the time at the mountain pleasant walmart. The band was awesome especially dale morris jr. Tommy jackson is smiling down on you dale.......

It doesn't get any better than Ray Price singing a song. Wow - his voice is still great after all these years. These two songs are classics and have been sung or recorded by just about every musician I imagine. Ray has always looked so classy and always appreciates his fans. He's been in concert at Renfro Valley here in Kentucky quite a few times through the years and has always drawn a big crowd. I met him on his 50th birthday - sexy voice and eyes. His voice is unforgettable. Thanks. Paula

I had the major displeasure of doing a gig with Mike Cass recently. Good player for sure, but was the most arrogant and rude person I've ever shared a stage with. He spent the whole night having childish temper tantrums, cussing and basically providing a horrible vibe to what was a no pressure gig at a small beer bar outside of Nashville. So ironic to see someone with a good career act so unprofessional.
