Buck Owens - Buckeroo - Act Naturally - Memphis Tennesee

Uploaded by: bintangtheater
Video Description:
More vintage Buck Owens stuff here with the classic Buckaroo theme, Act Naturally and Chuck Berry's Memphis Tennesee.
Act Naturally is written by Johnny Russell & Voni Morrison and was originally recorded by Buck Owens, whose version reached number 1 on the Billboard Country Singles chart in 1963.
The song became really populair among all sorts of audiences worldwide and was even once covered by the Beatles (who were huge Buck Owens' fans) for their 1965 Help album.
In 1989 Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and the legendary Buck Owens teamed up together to do a brand new version of the song.
Act Naturally
They're gonna put me in the movies
They're gonna make a big star out of me
We'll make a film about a man that's sad and lonely
And all I have to do is act naturally
[CHORUS]
Well, I bet you I'm gonna be a big star
Might win an Oscar you can never tell
The movie's gonna make me a big star,
'Cause I can play the part so well
Well, I hope you come and see me in the movie
Then I'll know that you will plainly see
The biggest fool that ever hit the big time
And all I have to do is act naturally
We'll make a film about a man that's sad and lonely
Begging down upon his bended knee
I'll play the part but I won't need rehearsing
All I have to do is act naturally
[CHORUS]

These are not the glam rock suits of the 70's. These style outfits were the staple uniform of male country-western signers in the 50's, 60's and into the early '70's. This was actually the end of the era of these suits.

VONI MORRISON CO-WRITER OF ACT NATURALLY DIES AT 70. My mother, Voni Morrison passed away August 18, 2008 from stomach cancer. She co-wrote Act Naturally and Making Plans with the late Johnny Russell. She is dearly missed by her family, friends and fans. She sang with Buck's band when I was a very young girl and I had the biggest crush on Don Rich. Such a nice man and so sad he passed away so young. Again a special thank you to all of you Act Naturally fans out there. Sincerely, Jaelene
