| The TV show I saw this clip on I have also seen a clip on a similar show where a cop pulled someone over, got out of his patrol car and as he's walking in camera view to the person's car, his patrol car starts rolling backwards and you can see him running after the car. It was funny. |

| In both cases you are dealing with a column shifter with indicator needles that weren't always so accurate, making it possible to put the car in Reverse when the indicator is pointing on the "P". I'm guessing that's what happened with that cop I mentioned earlier. Here, not sure what the hell happened. I always look when changing gears and wiggle the shifter just to make sure it's securely in gear. I'm just paranoid like that, lol. |
