I do not understand. You asked how to stop the puppeteer, not how to take the puppet. Taking the puppet WILL stop the puppeteer. There are many ways of doing this- stealing, buying, trading etc etc.
But to take away soldiers from their commanders is much harder, and it's pointless :]
