this guy doesn't know what he's talking about. high fructose corn syrup does not start off as glucose. also, the enzyme "amylase" does not convert glucose into fructose. it converts amylose (found in starch) into maltose (found in malted drinks).

HFCS is actually corn syrup where some of the glucose molecules have been converted to fructose, which is sweeter and more soluble.
I believe the best way to convert corn syrups glucose molecules to fructose (thereby making HFCS) is using enzymes (alpha-amylase and glucoamylase).

haha hardwick is probably the most successful guy on cable ive seen who isn't that famous. singled out, pbs, g4, hard 'n phirm; that guy can do anything
