Showing my age, but allow me to clarify... Being a big Debbie Gibson fan in the 80's, This song hit the top of the charts to #1 during the summer of '88. "Foolish Beat" was not only recorded but also written and produced by; Yep! Debbie Gibson, and she still holds the record today for being the youngest music artist to ever write, produce and record a #1 hit single at the age of 16. VH1 has listed "Foolish Beat" In it's top 40 of "Most Awesomely Bad Breakup songs ever"
