At a Senate Armed Service hearing, Sen. Jim Webb says military re-enlistment isn't about politics, contradicting Sen. Lindsey Graham who suggested troops were re-enlisting because they agreed with President Bush's Iraq policy.

McCain visited Iraq while I was there. When McCain visited, a ball room was opened in one in the Palaces and it still wasn't big enough to hold all of the troops who wanted to come and shake McCain's hand.
A few days later, I was in the mess hall and Obama was sitting at a table with only a few macontents.
So much for the clowns who claim that the troops support Obama.
By the way, Jim Webb is a whiner and has a chip on his shoulder.

I served in Iraq, also. March 19, 2003--January 5, 2004 and July 15, 2004--November 28,2004 when I got shot in Fallujah. Incidentally, I also served in Afghanistan for 8 months in 2002. Your boy McCain may support the military but he clearly does NOT support the veterans. Webb proposed a GI Bill that is comparable to the WWII GI Bill. McCain wouldn't support it, as he wants to promote retention in the military. I guess the same people are going to have to go back and forth for next 100 years.

They send them over there for multiple tours, and then don't have the decency to provide a GI Bill that is comparable to that of the WWII and Vietnam eras. Also, any moron--except CastorT64--can search a thousand sites on the internet and find out that Webb RESIGNED as Sec Nav.
