I have a question, well sort of.
I use adobe photoshop elements 6 and i don't have 'curves' or 'channel mixer'. Do you know if i could use anything else?

Seems like Elements has (limited) curves but doesnt have channels, which is what you really need to do this effect. Without using elements myself, i can't say how to do it, but if you download the GIMP (similar to photoshop, but free) you can do it.

Yes, levels works too. I just prefer Curves .They can both get the same result though
