Frank Sinatra - Stardust (1943)

Video Description:
With some minor alterations, this is essentially the same arrangement of "Stardust" that Sinatra recorded with the Tommy Dorsey band in 1941. Here, Frank is accompanied by his cohorts from "Your Hit Parade," including conductor Mark Warnow. This public domain footage comes from the "Lucky Strike Means Fine Tobacco" promotional film (full movie available at www.archive.org).

Lucky Strike dropped him shortly there after citing his unsavory image with both with the mob ( morretti got him his start) and his infidelity to Nancy his wife. that said ,I LOVE Frank. I love all Frank and early stuff like Stardust. but, Yeah, Lucky Strike and the FBI were all about him. LONG LIVE THE CHAIRMAN Of The BOARD!

Thanks for the video. I like this arrangement of the song better than any other I've heard. Wish I could get it in an MP3 format so i could listen in the car. I like his voice best in these early forties to mid fifties recordings.

My dad & mom loved this song. It was thier song. Pop won 25 grand at the Stardust in Vegas and opened a bar called the Stardust Room in the 60's. Changed our lives as he parlayed that into a couple of other cocktail lounges & restaurants.
