How Toby "Mac" McKeehan of DC Talk came up with the lyrics for Jesus Freak. DC Talk was on tour for the CD that proceeded Jesus Freak & stopped at the church that was attached to my girls school. When I found out, I quickly arranged to meet Toby, Keven and Michael back stage after the show with my co-writer hubby who with me wrote the original version of "Things Of This World". After the fans left, DC Talk, Dan & I met to talk. I talked about how I was a Jesus Freak. Toby wrote word 4 word down.

this actually happened to a close friend friends brother was depressed he would get in fights with my friend one day my friend ran away from home for a few hours he came back to find his brother had hung himself there was no pulse and his tongue was sticking very far out(that means his necks broken) my friend wept but before his family could call 911 suddenly his brothers body moved his tongue pulled in and he opened his eyes and simply said "god gives second chances" true story
