This guy doesn't understand wireless security. If you're not an expert, don't answer the question as if you are. All of the methods he listed for securing the wireless network are only effective against people who possess little to zero wireless networking knowledge.
Home networks are most easily secured using WPA2 PSK and using a long and strong passphrase. Do not bother disabling SSID beacon because it provides no benefit against an even moderately skilled intruder.

You are right, this guy is saying all the fundamentals like he is teaching Junior High. Sure you can activate WPA2 PSK and MAC Filtering and Limit device access but note that we are talking about a home network. Only the dumbest hacker will waste so much time trying to crack even WEP2 on a home net.

Security slows down your internet connection. Use MAC Address filtering and disable your SSID and no one can connect to your router unless you input there MAC Address.

uMM some one connecting to your network when its broadcasted freely is not hacking. MAC address filtering can be broken in a few minutes it is not hard to do. I would suggest turning on WPA or WPA 2 ontop of it.
