And this is why The Critic is so missed as so far superior to Family Guy, American Dad, and later seasons of The Simpsons. This was back in the day when writers were smart enough to cram 10 jokes into a minute instead of taking one joke and beating the audience over the head with it until they fall asleep (I'm looking at you Family Guy).
