I would like to add that if we pay attention to the differences between the original version and this one, we can see how he wisely "misses" the other components of the original one.

I love the fact that he stripped this all the way down to one guitar, three chords, and his voice. Proves not only how mature Miller is, but how strong the original material is.
If anyone is trying to play this, Miller used to play with his guitar tuned up a full step to F. Worked for him, but its a good way to permanently damage a guitar. If you like this in "F", try a capo at the second fret (or just use fancy barre chords).

Its true Miller used alternate tunings, and that the original "Joker" recording was in F-major, but he probably tuned his guitar DOWN a full step, and used the open-G and other chord forms for the original.
