Like I dont understand why your calling yourself a Phoenician, its like English people calling themselves Vikings or Persians calling themselves Indo-European Aryans thats their ancestry and it has shaped their modern identity but does not define them because of centuries of wars, migration, and a mixing of ethnicities. I am Lebanese and I am Christian, and I have found that three of our biggest self-delusional myths are that we are

But go read a history book, attend a Lebanese wedding or any party, and take a good look at yourself in the mirror. What does it mean to be a Phoenician? That was so long ago, I am pretty sure few if none of your direct ancestors had anything to do with their accomplishments, and if they did does it matter?

I dont understand why some Lebanese are like emberassed of being Lebanese, I have never heard a Egyptian, a Greek or a French denounce their ethnicity. They are proud of who they are and what defines them as a people. Anyways I love this song and Nawal is such a stunner with such a rich voice!!
