You're the fool. Those texts are not automatically accepted as truth. They are scrutinized and compared to other texts to determine the most likely events. But the new testament makes extraordinary claims so it must be subjected to even more scrutiny. Ultimately it doesn't matter if we have a truly accurate knowledge of Caesar's life or even if he actually existed because it has no real impact on our lives today. But you are asking for obedience to a historical figure today so you must prove.

We know that we have basically what the original texts say. That is what textual criticism proves. Saying Extraordinary claims required extraordinary evidence is a nice play on words. But it's a non sequitur, the conclusion doesn't follow from the premise. And I already provided the evidence on my channel.

Kabane, you must believe then that 2 men recently found the body of an actual bigfoot. They have photos to prove it. It's an extraordinary claim with ordinary evidence. The play on words is yours, not mine, and the claim of logical fallacy dodges the thrust of my argument rather than refuting it. As far as your evidence is concerned, I don't know which specific video you are referring to.

It amazes me modern people would want to use ancient texts as a guide for life, where even a few hundred years ago we were killing those that said the earth was round, imagine the ignorance a few thousand years ago! And this ancient way of life is just so incompatible to today that it creates big problems!

I didn't DEFINE faith as not requiring proof, I simply pointed out that property, unless you're saying that faith DOES require proof?. Not really... in context, said laws were perfectly "ok".
If they were rules made by a character in the stories, whom was an antagonist or something, or the rules were to be perceived as "bad" or something, THEN the passages were "out of context". Otherwise, then this example is not a bad one.
