" Moon River " is a composed music for Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini in 1961. It was interpreted in the film Breakfast attn Tiffany's for Audrey Hepburn, the star of the films, while the own music won the prize Academy Award goes Best Song of that year for Mercer and Mancini. The success of the music was responsible for the reverse-premiere of the career of Mercer as composer, that made success in the middle of 1950 with the substitution of the rock and roll for the standard jazz as the popular music of the time.

Foi interpretado no filme Breakfast at Tiffany's por Audrey Hepburn, a estrela dos filmes, enquanto a própria música ganhou o prêmio Academy Award for Best Song daquele ano por Mercer e Mancini. O sucesso da música foi responsável pela re-estréia da carreira de Mercer como compositor, que fez sucesso em meados de 1950 com a substituição do rock and roll pelo jazz padrão como a música popular da época.
