Fanboy? Tom Waits isn't some emo band who have legions of geeks despite being shit. He's a great artist, and to imply only one song of his makes all his other work pale into comparison is certainly worthy of a thumb down... or two.

this is an awesome song, so is downtown train...i love is unique way..too bad there are not artists today making unique artistic funk like this anymore. im so glad im old enough to have experienced the eighties...lol

Correct me if i am wrong, but wasnt the eighties a decade of long-haired pop stars and disco kings. I was,allready, in those days a Tom Waits fan and my friends mocked my taste in music. Waits wasnt exactly "main stream". Since then, some of those friends " have seen the light". My taste in music has remained the same all those years. I newer get tired of listening his music !

Tom Waits made this kind of music in the 70's for crying out loud - he's not new. He's an old man now, making the same music.
He's too cool. Punkers liked him in the 70's, alternative people in the 80's and 90's - Hell, even Bette Midler listens to him.
