I would rather get rid of the problem once and for all. And While I don't rule out the use of force, as it is sometimes a sad necessity, I think it is a an option that must be used only when all other options are exhausted.
For instance: I am not opposed to what we did in Afghanistan with Al Qeda or in removing Saddam from power. Botht needed to be done. I did have a problem with the fact that we did so little to gather international and internal support before we acted.

We see human rights violations, dictatorships, and threats consantly popping up, and they need to be dealt with. I think that too often we use the iron glove instead of the velvet.
I don't know if you have read "The Art Of War" by Tsun Tsu, but he speaks of winning a war with an enemy by turning the enemy into an ally. The best way to do this is to show that both sides have a common external threat. Our collective external threat is our fear of things that we don't understand.

I can understand your reasoning and i do agree with you but i just dont believe that the world we live in will ever reach peace. Youd have to either have 1 race or religion allies rule the world.
