Furman pq4 and randall x2 dimebag rig clips

Video Description:
Guitar: Ibanez jem 555 with lo pro edge bridge. Dimarzio evolution bridge pickuo, Duncan 59 neck wired with killswitch. From there, into morley aby switch. a goes to grady champion custom pedal into randall rg80es amp. In the loop of the grady in the mxr blue vintage 6 band eq, into furman pq-4, into dbx 266a noisegate. Morley channel b goes to randall Warhead x2. Guitar cabs are 2 1988 randall 2x12's with vintage Jaguars, running at 4 ohms.
1st the randall with the additional "Dime" eq's switched in and out, then the X2, then BOTH!!! What a crushing rig....

| The amp needs a boost. An eq can do this, or a metal zone from boss with the gain at zero and the level boosted. If you wan't high gain sounds a boost is a must. The mxr band old or new goes a long way in helping this amp out. The catch 22 is by boosting the amp to improve the distortion, you end up making the clean unusable, do to too much gain. |

| that, my friend, is a kill switch. I bought it from radio shack and installed it. When pressed, it connects the positive and ground of my input jack, "killing" my guitar signal the same way that turning it all the way down would do. release it and have full volume. |

| Red Button SPST Pushbutton Switch <---- search for that, make sure it's normally open. This is the one i use. Wire 1 connector to your input jack positive, the other to your input jack ground. very easy to do. |

| an mxr 6 band eq and / or furman pq-3 or pq-4 work wonders. A bosee metal zone will b get you there though. |

| I went to Guitar Center recently and I was dicking around with the MXR 10 band EQ. It sounds horrible! The only damn sliders that work are the volume and Gain! Other than that, I can't tell the difference. Two questions: what's the big difference in a 6 band EQ of today versus the blue one and Have you tried the rack set-up with any other amp? |
