This is such a sad video to watch. Shannon Hoon was a genius. Blind Melon crossed markets of Phish (and to some extent Greatful Dead) and Jane's Addiction. I understand his trouble with drugs. I myself battled a coke, meth, crack... you name it addiction. My life was simple compaired to his. "Everybody's life's got static. You're life fucking perfect?" Heathers quote. People please do not throw stones at people who live in glass houses. I wish he hadn't but I understand why he could no longer...

Once Shannon cut his hair he was doing twice as much heroin and smoking crack. His mother tried to get him help but had a somewhat tolerant attitude towards his addictions. I know she used to bake hash brownies and weed cookies for fans. Anyway its a terrible loss, you have this asshole from Nickelback alive and well and Shannons eating dirt. It all comes down to fate, not choices...at least he can party with Layne now.

Oh hell yeah. I saw this and felt the same way. Something about the video really went wrong, and the song just went nowhere. Ironic cause "No Rain" is a 90's classic in song and video.

LOVE THIS SONG. I have two boys, 8 and 1, they love watching these videos with me.... makes me miss the 90's, great music,good times.
Never got the chance to see them live, by the time I started hearing them and really getting into them it was too late.

Shannon Hoon was a friend of mine. It's good to see his music is still appreciated 13 years after his death. I remember this song especially, because when Shannon first got fame and glory, he bought a beautiful early 70's Cadillac. But, he didn't feel himself in it...and he found a 67 (I think) Galaxie 500 while on the road. He identified more with the 500 then the Caddy, hence the line in the chorus in this song.
RIP Shannon....you are missed.
