thats because you don't know enough about guitars. he is using harmonics at the end which are much harder to play with than regular frets, it's a symphonic sound that you will learn to appreciate with time and knowledge

harmonics, i dont think that they are well placed in this song. this is my favorite andy mckee song, but the end is kind of out of place for me, i understand that harmonics are really hard to play, but they are out of place.
