what you may call 'tinny guitar and drum' is actually music with African influences. something entirely different, still founded on some -what not very musically cultivated people would call- pop-like style. and to tell you the truth, you're the type of people who ruin the music business. by the way, this is not garage. & if any junior high student could even get what the lyrics actually mean, then he has to be a real smart kid.
just keep listening to the radio, and you'll be happier that way.

Unfortunately you are not far from it. I've been trying to get a reggae band together for years in this god forsaken city, but the only people who play instruments and like reggae are already in the only 2 reggae/ska bands around here, and have been for 20 years :/
Everyone else.. plays metal. Sometimes life can be so depressingly dissapointing. But then you have bands like this :D.

my highschool garage band played contemporary style songs with balkan and classical influences. It was a 30 piece band. Quite fun, and we also beat all the hardcore and metal bands at our highschool battle of the bands.
