The majority of TheOnion's satires are about petty little things people argue over. This one is about the people who just act like a little word someone made up, needs to be evaluated very thoroughly and get all knitty gritty about some stupid word they shouldn't even care about. It is also a satire of people who laugh at others accidently making up words and then getting all upset over it.
