Well, socially, they can. I thought that it was a bit odd too (and I am a supporter of gay rights). But I understand that it has all to do the the social and historical abuse that homosexuals and auties seem to be afflicted by.

I understand what you've stated about gay rights and autistic rights not being met, I have nothing against gay's and obviously nothing against autistics, still no equalization there. You could pull other groups into the equation like, religious groups and leaders, politicians, etc. There's no end, so why compare gays to autistics? I think you're a great gal KG, I'm not trying to undermind you, I guess I just don't understand the logic.

I'm in favor of Gay pride since the more guys who turn queer, the more women there are for me. Autistic kids, however, don't have a choice and scumbags like Amanda Baggs who want to celebrate autism are just lying scoundrels who harm autistic kids with their deranged rhetoric.

I agree, There is no defining similarity between homosexuality and autism. Minority groups often compare themselves to other minority groups. It's a way to unite people and I certainly don't have a problem with that.
