If you are getting a baby parrot from a petstore you are buying it, not adopting it. Please consider adopting a grown bird from a rescue. I guarantee there is one in your state as many parrots are left homeless when they reach puberty. By the way, I'm not connected to a rescue, but I am a person who adopted a parrot from one.

just got a few after watching some bird videos on youtube. they are just cute and adorable. aren't they ? Wish we had a lot of money. Could only afford Zebra Finch and Perakey (not sure if that's how they are spelled.)

How on earth could anyone look at that little face and abuse it? Why do people want pets in the first place if they're going to be mean and not love them? He's darling. My sister has a bird that squawks incessantly at times but I could never, ever mistreat him.

He wasn't abused. It was just the owners who couldn't handle him through the "teenages".. Cause they tend to bite and be agressive at that age.

Thank you, meddetect10, for loving a bird unconditionally. Not everyone can do that. A bird will be a bird and they all make noise. If you can't take the noise, don't buy a bird. Snowball was never abused in his previous household. He came from a VERY loving home.

I think it's amazing what you do!
Right now I'am studing Animal Care in The Netherlands (Holland). And I met a lot of people just like you, who takes such good care of those animals. And I help at animal shelters and also a donkey rescue center. And I think it's great that there are more people like you, who are helping different animals. And I like to be one of them! ;) Good luck with everything! Snowball is very cute and a good dancer! :) (Sorry for my bad English.)

i think its a very good thing that you are doing. i own a quacker parrot and i raised her from a baby. i guess i don't understand how anyone could neglect these wonderful animals. i wouldn't know what to do with myself if i did not have my baby. ( mine likes to dance too, but she just ruffles up and bobs her head:)

Birds do seem to enjoy dancing to music. Snowball is pretty picky about what he likes to dance to though.

i have an african cinnagul parrot, and he will sometimes dance. im almost never in the room at the time he does though. it is really cute and funny
