she wasn't janet's back up singer or dancer. the jackson five hired her for choreography. janet then hired her for teaching her to dance. during janet's dances, she used to sing a bit and janet advised her to sing.
man music went ... ( 1 week ago by antionidept)
man music went downhill every single decade after the decade. the 80's kicked ass. 90's weren't that bad, there were major breakout groups and soloists in the second part of the decade... this decade is like so crappy. even cd and single sales are shit low.

The 90s weren't that bad??? What are you smoking?? The 90s was probably the best era for black music at least in R&B and some Pop. The last good album of the 90s for me was TLCs FanMail. Music started going downhill after 1996 really but before that there were hits after hits in the 90s.
To call you a ... ( 4 days ago by Neno8403)
To call you a DUMBASS would be a complement. You're on YouTube and you ask such a retarded question. Hey GENIUS, why don't you search for Whitney on here and find the DOZENS upon DOZENS of performances of her that she's done in the last two years ALONE. Are you smoking some of the crack she used to smoke? You sound like a total douchebag. Whitney's been off drugs for well over two years now, she's been performing worldwide for well over a year now, and her new album is coming out this winter.

Paula was such a talented singer, dancer and choreographer, she totally blow my mind first time I saw her videos. Im surprised though that her artistic production was so small compared with other artists like Madonna for instance.

you are so full of ... ( 3 days ago by antionidept)
you are so full of crap. the 90's peaked after 1996 in sales. the spice girls ammassed over 60 mill album sales in 3 years, britney spears over 50 mill, xtina, BSB, and NB all peaked sharply post 1996. despite this, they didn't outsell the 80's acts - ever. even rock of the 90's was outsold by 80's rock.

You're wrong. The nineties made ppl look @ black music as silliness, violent inciting, and noise, and unfortunately some of that is true. Blacks were making popular music for generations: Even predjudice Americans would tap their toes to Sammy Davis Jr., Chuck Berry, and motown of the 60s and 70s-Dianna Ross, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, etc.

Perhaps you should stop pullin all that shit out your ass and speak on FACTS when addressing me. Last time I checked, NONE of the bitches you cited are considered BLACK R&B artists. When was Xtina Aguilera or Britney Spears or the Spice Girls considered black or R&B??? You must be white because you are speaking a bunch of nonsensical bullshit and haven't even used one BLACK artist to TRY and prove your point. Try again madame.
first of all ... ( 1 day ago by antionidept)
first of all musical success in any era is not determined by skin color.
second of all, micheal jackson and janet jackson single handedly outsold every other black act in the 90's.
