I just put this song as a background during a "scenic way side road-trip" along Big Stone Lake=-"headwaters of the Minnesota River" (between SD & MN)..A different scenery from the video, but will remember this song when I go down to the "busy" city life. God bless!

That verse refers to religious leaders who ONLY worshipped in public. Truly, they had no relationship with God, but they did it all to make others think they were very spiritual. Later on, the disciples were commanded to carry the message of Jesus to all the world. If one's heart is right, singing in public can be a beautiful expression of being a mad Jesus fool! That's a good thing...

But you can sing in your heart to god and when you are in a special environment it must not be the church you also can take place in a park or so where you do not disturb anyone and than sing loudly from your heart and praise the lord with your heart and love and mind and soul

by saying "that's all we're going to get," Jesus speaks of the pharisees who "worship & confess" out loud (almost like a presentation, entertainment for others), he wouldn't be exhalted in heaven. personally, i think that its just a warning/reminder to us that prayer is a personal communication with God. it doesn't really matter if you praise God loudly, as long as you have no ulterior motives for praising him. just that you want to and that he deserves to be praised!

I've done this before in the streets of Vancouver and Prince George, and also while commuting on a bus in Vancouver... I just wanted to praise Him while listening to my walkman... lol... it was a blast, because I think it blesses other people around even though they might not think they are being blessed.. :)
