LaBrie has great pitch, but unlike Russell Allen, lacks character in his voice imo. Russell makes use of many vocal influences through many time periods. Have a tremendous amount of respect for him.

Ya know, I personally think that they're both great and comparing the two would be too hard to do so considering it's a different genre of music. I love James LaBrie's voice but Allen has that thing about it, it's more dominate and aggressive than LaBrie.
