When you become a Miles Davis, you can say whatever the hell you want. With how society works now, Miles Davis never said 1/8th of what people say today.

There really is no point in comparing Miles and Gumbel. Gumbel is "the help". His job is to report on the epic musical achievements and supreme artistic influence of a icon like Davis. It's almost an insult that they used a clown like Gumbel to interview him. Another brilliant musician or someone with more character would've been more fitting. Miles Davis is....well, Miles Davis. Bryant Gumbel is a tool of NBC.

Miles should be inducted into every hall of fame in existence...rock and roll, songwriters, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, astronaut, needlepoint...he's fuckin' Miles Davis. Only Duke, Bird, Diz, Satchmo, and Coltrane live in his universe. THAT'S why he's in the hall of fame!
