104x103=?
104-100=4 103-100=3
104+3=107 4x3=12
104x103=10712
You can also do it with under 100 it is just a little different.
97x82=?
100-97=3 100-82=18
18+3=21
100-21=79 3x18=54
97x82=7954
This is where he got the trick from.
Any fool can realize that:
107^2 = (100 + 7)^2 = 10000 + 1400 + 49 = 11449
so
104+4(wat ever the lst number is )
for example
108 would turns out to be 116
108+8
(104)^2 = (100+4)^2 = 100^2 +2*100*4+4^2=10816
His method of "adding the last digit to the whole number" works only if the second digit is a zero. Note the above is simply expanding a perfect square (a+b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2
