Florida has the same problem so my advice to lawbreakers that live in Texas or Florida. MOVE !
I hear that in some of the Northern State that they have designer prisons, with a 2 person max per cell limit, pay per view TV, private showers but you do have to share the bidet.
And until Texas and Florida gets with the program take your business else where. That will teach them !

They had the same ignorant take on prison conditions that you do, the THOUSANDS of inmates finally had enough, rioted, they spilled out of the prisons taking over large parts of Rio and several other cities. The best way to make these prisons safer is to stop the more violent lifers from praying on less dangerous offenders. The only way to do this is to execute sex offenders and first degree murderers. The sex offender rape them, and murderers run prison gangs like the Aryan Brotherhood, killing them and turning them into addicts. Most of the danger comes from these men and women, not guards.

you say that, TDCJ health care is broken you must be stupid or out of your mind. the majority spent per offender is on health care. I have offenders who admitted to commiting crimes " in one case rape of a child "so that they could have their Heptites c drugs that would cost him thosads of dollars a month for! come on the problem is that prison are no longer prisons they are day care!

stapleton I hope you are not being serious . Almost 50% of people in prison in Texas are non violent drug offenders . They are not dangerous . The 15 % that are sociopaths victimize the rest . Your comment about medical care is very wrong . They have very bad medical care . It is comparable to Mexico hospitals at best . You can't beat people into submiting to unfair laws .

hey brother i was there the offenders had better medical coverage than i did working there have you ever been in a prison or work there well I did and my entire family i have been spit on had shit and piss dashed on me i have seen people kill each other over somthing like a soup or a hand full of stamps on top of that shity pay no ac hot ass summers and crying ass men in there that say they where inn i have much respect for the gaurds they have to put up with a lot of shit.

I love Texas but the county jail is hell in life. There's vomit everywhere, urine, feces, blood oh man I dont want to remember. Most of the people there are there for DWI its fucking gay. There is only one toilet for 100 people so everybody does there thing where they are

My mother works for TDCJ, and I can testify that prisoners have it good. My mother used to be a guard, but is now a special projects teacher and the inmates never complain about treatment. The medical care probably could be better, but I've never heard of any racism going on, beside from the inmates trying to get guards into trouble. This is propaganda. I live in a town in Texas full of prison units, so I would know. Get the facts straight. I know more about the prison system and I'm only 17.
