Very true, but it all comes down to technology. When games first came out, you had midi's, now you have stereo surround sound music which just makes the difference. But I agree with you, I can watch that gameplay trailer all the time and the music just fits it PERFECTLY as you might put it =)

Even if you can't express yourself correctly, i agree with you. The russel brower music is too gay, just like blood elfs ( btw he made the blood elf theme).

Yes, I'll think so too, with LoD this creepy orchestra-music began and ruined the fable of Diablo. Matt Uelmen was allways making sweet sound melodies, without a full orchestra, only with few simple intruments and it sounds far more better/old fashion! For the Boss fights they could take those classical music, but for the atmosphere-music they should take some old Diablo 1 songs.

This is just the opening piece, I think the soundtrack will have scary themes, but I think this sounds more epic than before, just because is not familiar does not mean it is bad.

This is the same thing they did to the Jason Hayes intro theme in "World of Warcraft" for "The Burning Crusade" - keep just enough of the original classic to confuse people, then insert a few bars of new stuff to make it technically "original". You would think with all of their money they could get the original composers in both cases.
