I am sorry, I did not read the notes, yes point taken. Well it is true that sometimes we need to make changes to accomodate things like the missing tamborine. I am wondering now if it ok to leave out the tamborine part so as to minimise the activity.I wish to apologise again and I must say that you have the ability to figure things out well and that is very important when you work in small set-ups :)

A lot of what Gad uses in strokes came from the Stone book on Accents and rebounds..then he switched hands and did some very-very cool things. Also, back in the early 70s..in western NY, the buzz (sorry-not roll) was ambidextrous independent coordination (Chapin)..which Steve had also perfected. The final point about Gadd is "its' got to sound right." Nice technique, but lacks...umm...grit! it misses the second accent on the upstroke. Good piece tough.

It did not surprise me to see your comment and then see that you are listing yourself as 20 years old. As a school teacher I see it all the time with the youth of our current day.
