I've been a fan of Aztec Two Step since I first heard them perform at Colgate University in the fall of 1977. I've attended their concerts whenever possible in the ensuing 30 years. To me, their music is timeless. Listening to this song...seeing them 30 years older...connects a lot of things....

If you every caught Two Step on a New England college tour as I did, at the University of Rhode Island, you fell in love with these guys and their wonderful music. I live in Pacifica, Calif. their music takes me home to '76 - '76 along the Narragansett, R.I shoreline.

Was first turned on the Neil and Rex in 1974. Wore out their first album. Lucky enough to see them in Champaign, IL in 1975. Rediscovered that first album on CD a few years ago. Ahhh, the memories.

Have been a fan of A2S since 1972. Their concerts are awesome, great harmonies and guitar playing. Plus, you can talk with them before and after the show.

Just saw the guys do a Simon & Garfunkel "songbook" Friday at Outpost in the 'Burbs, Montclair, NJ. It was pretty good but I prefer their own work. Rex and Neil are really nice guys and very talented. If you get a chance to see them - do it.
Have always felt ... ( 9 months ago by AGraffitifan)
Have always felt their first album was one of the very, very rare "perfect" albums (i.e., every song is great, no filler, no crap). I've collected music since 1964 and only a handful of albums meet that criteria (Who's Next, Dsrk Side of the Moon to name a few from that very select group)

I got their songbook from their website a while back-Rex even signed it. Learned "Dean Moriarty, and next up, will be "Highway Song". These guys are class.

To steal the words given to Leonard Cohen. I'm glad to be a live during the time of Rex and Neal.....Years of seeing them. Never old, always another roadway for my mind

tradfan: "Prisoner" is one of my favorites, though that whole album is such a classic. Thanks to Folkhero01 for this posting. It amazes me what one can find on You Tube, though sometimes it just appears. Don't know whether you saw this, but I found a RECENT slightly different rendition of "The Persecution and Restoration of Dean Moriarty." If you've seen already, cool, but if not, hope you enjoy! Had never seen posted til now. PEACE
