As I look at my hymnals (Evangelical Lutheran Worship and Lutheran Book of Worship), our verison is shorter than the verison sang here. It is a great hymn, I'd like to try to play this on piano or my organ tune of my keyboard.

Don't be too sure about that. Gather #463 is "At the Lamb's High Feast We Sing" to _Salzburg_. Gather #383 is "Songs of Thankfulness and Praise" to _Salzburg_. You just need the "right" hymnal.

The melody comes from a very famous Bach hymn "Allen menschen mussen sterben", re-harmonized by Pachelbel. We have this song in the French Hymnal of the Catholic Church, entitled "Par les routes de la terre".

So endearing, very evocative. A very serene hymn, indeed. Good food for the soul and spirit. This takes me back to the time when I was little - when my parents used to take me to the Easter Sunday mass.

Solemn, endearing, evocative. A truly wholesome hymn, indeed. Feeds the soul, enlightens the spirit. This takes me back to the time when I was young - when my parents used to take me to the Easter Sunday mass. And I feel like I'm with them right now (still young and innocent).

This is what the Episcopal Church (ECUSA) should get back to. They need to fire the presiding Bishop Katherine Jeffords Schori and bring back some unity in the church.
