I think this is the first band I've ever heard that sounds AWESOME live. And by that I mean that most bands that play live sound worse than when they are in a recording studio.

Eh the solo was kinda crummy,but we all have good and bad days,bottom line is that they are great live and in studio,the same can't be said for studioforce,I love dragonforce's songs but they suck live.

what do you mean by they can't do their song correctly? as in hitting notes out of tune or did they play differently/ improvise?
coz they have right to play their own songs differently than the studio version, many musicians do this on purpose. except if they hit out of tune notes too much like studioforce live, there should be no excuse.

You're forgetting Stratovarius, the Finnish Band that sounds amazing live and CREATED the sound that Sonata Arctica plays, as well as being a large influence for Nightwish.

NOW I've heard them! They sound pretty good! haven't listen to them enough to say they are among my top 10 fvorite bands, but it's gonna be hard for them to beat Sonata Arctica and Nightwish on my list :)

Without Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica wouldn't be Sonata Arctica, they would be Tricky Beans, and they wouldn't play Power Metal, they'd play Hard Rock, and they'd probably be disbanded by this point. Stratovarius may not have created Power Metal, but they brought keyboards and solo duels into the fray. Not to mention Jens Johannson, Stratovarius' keyboardist is responsible for the Keyboard solos on Silver Tongue, Champagne Bath, The Cage, and Victoria's Secret.
