Bach Double Violin Concerto

Uploaded by: SwampyFox
Video Description:
My wife and her dad play the Bach Double Violin Concerto.
What was kinda cool, is that my wife told me that she and her dad had always played this piece while she was growing up, but this was the first time that they had ever performed together the piece in public.

I recently acquired the 1st and 2nd violin parts. Very difficult for me, being that I'm only in high school and have only been playing for 7 years, but that was a great performance.

I'm in high school too and been playing for 7 years also, and this piece is so easy! Are you like one of those "slow" to learn violinists?

Sometimes. It really depends on the piece and how the sightreading session goes. Some are easy for me to pick up, others are not so easy. Are you a "slow" to learn musician also?

It's great to see the violin inherited. I'd like to see more positive criticism from Master 'OistrakhMilstein'. I doubt the two greats would be fond of you using their names as your username, and slaying other users, do you? Thank you. T

No. I don't have a private teacher. I played for 2 and a half years, then quit, and recently picked up violin ago about 3 years ago. I play more modern music, and the classical stuff I do play is not as difficult, because my teacher and my peers and I vote on the pieces that we want to play based on how our sightreading goes.

I really do adore this peice! Well done to both. I remember learning the 1st part a few years back and how hard it was and how much practice it took, so great job to both. It may not have been perfect, but it looked like they had fun, and that's all that really matters, right?

Excellent! Although not a technically flawless performance, the interpretation and style sounded great - very comparable to some professional recordings I've heard. :)
